Why classification drives cost
Every imported product falls under a ten-digit HTS number. That number sets the base duty rate and decides whether extra tariffs apply, such as Section 301 duties on many goods made in China. Two similar products can land in very different rates because of material, function, or how they are sold.
A wrong code can mean overpaying for years or underpaying and facing back duty and penalties. We review the product, its materials, and its use, then document why the code fits.
What we do
- Classification of new products before the purchase order
- Duty and tariff estimate per unit, built into your landed cost plan
- Review of codes your supplier or a previous broker used
- Binding ruling requests to CBP when a product is genuinely unclear
- Alerts when tariff actions change the rate on something you import
Built for businesses that import on a schedule
We work with brands, Amazon sellers, e-commerce and online store owners, wholesalers, retailers, and manufacturers that bring in shipments regularly, most often from China. Any product category works, as long as it is physical commercial goods. That is where our door-to-door service pays off: we plan the freight, clear customs, and deliver, shipment after shipment. See who we work with.
What to include for an accurate quote
The more of this you share, the faster we can price it. Quotes are for businesses with recurring commercial shipments.
