What a customs broker does for you
A licensed customs broker acts for the importer of record with US Customs and Border Protection. We prepare and file the entry, declare the tariff classification and value, calculate and pay the duty, answer questions from CBP and partner agencies, and keep the records the law requires.
Most brokers only see your shipment when it arrives. We plan it before it leaves the factory, because we also run the freight. The commercial invoice, packing list, HS codes, and bond are checked at origin, so the entry is ready when the vessel reaches Barbours Cut or Bayport.
